Benjamin Myles shares his nearly 90 years of life experience and wisdom at the Come to the Table forum in May at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Marin City. Growing up in New Orleans, Ben witnessed from a very young age, the police brutality and racism aimed at those who looked like him. He attempted to escape the suffering his people were experiencing, only to wonder where on earth he had landed when he arrived in Marin City in 1956. He would soon learn that Marin City would be his home, where he would be surrounded by a loving and caring community. He says, "The home is the foundation of a nation." He also learned along the way that, "No law will make any difference if we can't change people's thinking. You can do without a lot of things in life, love isn't one of them."
